Charlie Sheen’s life is getting even more complicated.
The Los Angeles Police Department has opened a criminal investigation of the actor. LAPD Officer Mike Lopez told Page Six that “on March 31, at about 7:45 a.m.,” officers visited Sheen’s home as part of a criminal investigation in which Sheen was listed as a suspect.
Lopez said that the victim’s information is confidential and that it’s “an ongoing investigation.” And there’s been a search warrant issued in the case.
The LA Times reported that local law enforcement sources said the investigation “involves Sheen’s former fiancée, Scottine Ross, who allegedly told police [Sheen] threatened her with violence.”
Ross was engaged to Sheen in 2014, and later sued him, accusing him of assault and not disclosing his HIV status during their relationship. Sheen revealed his medical condition on “Today” late last year.
Sheen’s reps didn’t immediately get back to us.
